Ever wanted to break into the world of amateur sumo? Maybe hone your sumo skills even further? Or just want to learn more about sumo? Here is a wonderful opportunity to achieve your goals!
André Coleman, Cody Stout, and Welcome Mat Sumo will be holding a sumo camp in New Orleans from 6:00 PM on Friday, December 28th to 1:00 PM on Sunday, December 30th. That is three days of sumo activities! The camp is intended for novices and experts alike, and will cover training activities that should be do-able and engaging for everyone. The cost is only $50 per participant if you register before Dec 15th, and it will be $75 per participant if you register after that date.
Don’t know the first thing about sumo? No worries! They will teach you.
Know everything about sumo? Great! You will have a wonderful time.
Personally, I am still not sure if I can make it due to the holiday timing, but I would love to go. Opportunities like this don’t come around too often, so I am still trying to work things out. Below is more information regarding the event that I received from André, followed by some gifs of André’s and Cody’s matches.
Also, I am no way shape or form involved with hosting this event. I receive no money from the posts on NorthAmericanSumo.com (in fact, site hosting costs me money!), and I am not receiving any money from the event. I just thought it was a wonderful opportunity for sumo fans, so I decided to write a post about it. If you know of any other sumo camps, training sessions, or demonstrations, please let me know by emailing NorthAmericanSumo@Gmail.com!
